Terms of engagement
The Terms of Engagement outlined below are the conditions by which Inzider Trails Limited (“Inzider Trails”) provides its services to you (the “client”). By engaging in the services provided (either free or paid), the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.
1. Services Offered:
We offer personalised itineraries tailored to your preferences, including suggestions for hiking tracks based on the experience level and interests disclosed to us by the client. Our service may include recommendations for accommodation, activities, dining options, and other travel arrangements within New Zealand.
2. Third Party Bookings:
Inzider Trails may make bookings on behalf of the client with third-party providers (e.g. accommodation and transport). Inzider Trails will endeavour to select reputable providers but does not guarantee the performance or quality of third-party services.
The Client acknowledges that such bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective third-party providers, and Inzider Trails is not responsible for any issues arising from these services.
In the event of a third-party booking recommendation, price estimates will be correct at time of providing the itinerary. Inzider Trails will confirm the final price at time of booking and the client accepts responsibility for any increase in cost at this time.
2. Client Responsibility for Safety:
Inzider Trails will make every effort to ensure that our clients are well prepared for their travel experience, however, the client remains responsible for their own health and safety at all times.
The client acknowledges and agrees that they are responsible for ensuring the safety of all activities included in the itinerary.
The client is advised to obtain comprehensive travel and health insurance that covers the activities they wish to undertake in New Zealand. This should include coverage for medical expenses, evacuation, trip cancellations, and personal liability.
The client agrees to disclose any relevant health concerns and give accurate information related to experience and skill level in the consultation process ensuring level of fitness is suited to the activities chosen.
The client is responsible for ensuring clothing and footwear is suitable for all types of weather in New Zealand’s environment and enough food is carried to account for contingency plans where relevant.
Before engaging in any hiking tracks or activities suggested in the itinerary, the client must thoroughly research and assess the safety and suitability of the activities based on their own capabilities and physical condition.
It is the client's responsibility to check the most up-to-date weather forecasts and safety information for the hiking tracks before starting the hike or activity. Weather conditions in New Zealand can be unpredictable, and it is essential to be well-prepared for any changes that may occur during the hike.
The client should adhere to all safety guidelines, regulations, and recommendations provided by relevant authorities and local guides during the activities where relevant.
Our service provides recommendations based on the information available at the time of planning, but the client ultimately assumes responsibility for their safety and well-being during the New Zealand holiday.
3. Booking and Confirmation for third party bookings:
Once the itinerary is finalised, we will proceed with booking accommodations, activities, and other services as per the client’s approval.
A confirmation email will be sent to the client, detailing the itinerary, bookings, and payment information.
4. Payment Terms:
A non-refundable deposit is required to initiate the itinerary planning process.
Full payment must be made before the commencement of your New Zealand holiday.
Payment is to be made by bank transfer.
5. Changes and Cancellations:
Any changes to the itinerary after confirmation may incur additional charges, subject to availability.
Cancellation policies of accommodations, activities, and other services will apply as per their respective terms and conditions.
6. Liability:
While we strive to provide accurate and reliable information, we are not liable for any unforeseen circumstances, accidents, injuries, or losses that may occur during your New Zealand holiday.
It is recommended that you obtain travel insurance to cover any potential risks.
7. Feedback and Reviews:
Your feedback is valuable to us. We encourage you to share your experience with our services, as it helps us improve and enhance our offerings for future clients.
8. Dispute Resolution Process:
In the event of any dispute or disagreement arising between the client and Inzider Trails, the following three-step process shall be followed to resolve the issue in an amicable and efficient manner:
Step 1: Informal Discussion
- The client shall first attempt to resolve the dispute by communicating directly with our designated representative.
- Both parties shall engage in an open and constructive dialogue to address the concerns and seek a mutually acceptable resolution.
Step 2: Round Table Discussion
- If the dispute remains unresolved after the informal discussion, both parties agree to participate in a round table discussion facilitated by a neutral third party agreed upon by both parties.
- The round table discussion aims to facilitate communication, clarify issues, and explore potential solutions to the dispute.
Step 3: Mediation
- If the dispute persists after the round table discussion, both parties agree to engage in formal mediation conducted by a qualified and impartial mediator.
- The mediator will assist the parties in reaching a mutually agreeable resolution through structured negotiations and discussions.
- It is mutually agreed that legal proceedings will only be considered as a last resort after exhausting the informal discussion, round table discussion, and mediation steps outlined above.
9. Collection and use of information
Client information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by the client.
The email address the client provides, may be used to send information and updates pertaining to their itinerary and any bookings made related to this.
Inzider Trails does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties the clients personally identifiable information.
Inzider Trails may also release client information when it is believed release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect Inzider Trails’ or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
10. Governing law
The Terms of Engagement for Inzider Trails and the provision of goods and service are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in New Zealand and in the event of any dispute arising in relation to these terms of use or their subject matter the client irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand over such dispute.
In the event that any liability is attributed to Inzider Trails such liability is limited to the price paid by the client to Inzider Trails for the services purchased on this website.
If any provision of the Terms & Conditions of this agreement are found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of the Terms & Conditions which will continue in full force and effect.

Unless otherwise stated the material published within this website is the copyright of Inzider Trails. The material published within this website may not be reproduced in whole or in part without the express written permission of Inzider Trails.
12. Intellectual Property
Inzider Trails either owns or has the right to use the intellectual property rights with respect to this website and its content.
